TLDR: Autumn jabs for the over-65s — who can have what this season

Busy business owners often skip autumn vaccinations because “I never get ill” — but a fortnight off with flu, or shingles with lingering nerve pain, can leave a small business stuck. Here is who is offered what in England this season, from NHS sources:

  • Flu: free for everyone 65 and over (including those turning 65 by 31 March 2027) and some younger people with health conditions. Many pharmacies offer private flu jabs if you are not eligible.
  • COVID-19: adults 75 and over, care home residents and people with a weakened immune system.
  • Shingles: those who turned 65 on or after 1 September 2023, everyone aged 70 to 79, and adults with a severely weakened immune system. Missed it? Ask your GP if you are under 80.
  • RSV: everyone 75 and over since April 2026 — no upper age limit.

Client Testimonial

“Having seen John of Legacy Wills present at a property event, it was clear he had both the breadth of knowledge and experience and also the ability to make a very dry subject both understandable and engaging. That’s a tough call when talking about Wills, Trusts and death. John produced Wills and POA’s for myself and my wife in a timely, effective and reasonable manner. I have subsequently recommended him to numerous colleagues and friends to cut out the jargon and challenges surrounding this critical protection, which is too often deferred or neglected.”
